Current Event on the water.

Every year thousands of people dive into icy waters on new years day to celebrate the new year. This unusual and interesting club is called the Polar Bear club. Even though this event is highly dangerous and idiotic, thousands of people take the icy plunge into freezing waters. And this is not just a in and out swim, the members of the club stay in the water for minutes at a time risking hypothermia and other deadly effects. The water temprature is around 33 degrees and then there is the wind chill effect to factor in. The polar bear club was founded in 1903 by Bernarr McFadden who believed that taking a dip in the atlantic ocean during the winter was true test of stamina and fitness and could put one the journey to becoming physicly fit and on the right path to eating better.
